Brief CV:

Ms. Aikaterini Ntaifoti enrolled in the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA in Fall 2010. In 2014 she conducted her Diploma Thesis entitled: “Investigation of the behavior of wind turbine towers connections by numerical simulations” at the Institute of Steel Structures under the supervision of Prof. Charis Gantes and received the Diploma of Civil Engineer. Then, she attended the Post-Graduate Program “Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures” at NTUA. Her post-graduate thesis was entitled: “Fatigue Behavior of Wind Turbine Towers Connections” under the supervision of Prof. Ch. Gantes and she received the MSc Diploma in 2016. Since 2020, she is a PhD candidate at NTUA with the topic of her dissertation being “Evaluation of the behavior of Road Infrastructure steel structures”, with supervisor Prof. Ch. Gantes. Since 2016 she is working as a freelance civil engineer, mainly on the design of steel structures.

Research:

Her PhD thesis is part of the research program: “PANOPTIS - Development of a Decision Support System for increasing the Resilience of Road Infrastructure based on combined use of terrestrial and airborne sensors and advanced modelling tools” (2018-2022).
